Material thinking moves from idea to real use through these three categories
Curation &
Material Storytelling
Turning material knowledge into clear design decisions.
I curate samples and build material stories that make choices easier—what to use, where to use it, and why it matters.
The result is shared clarity between brands, designers, specifiers, and users.
Explorations &
Master Samples
Through material exploration and prototyping, I create master samples that serve as a bridge between research, design intent, and on-site application.
These samples become strategic assets—capturing material performance, aesthetics, and usage.
This strengthens alignment between manufacturing, design teams, and end users.
Raw Material
Understanding material origins, behaviour, and constraints.
Explorations
Translating aggregate, components to thoughtfully composed samples.
Iterations - Curation
Capture material behaviour, color, proportion and finish for curation
Design
Transforming material into meaningful context - aesthetics, intent and impact.
Marketing Assets
Collaborating and building product and brand assets that make material decisions easier.
HANDS ON EXPERIENCE
Curated BoardRoom Event
Through collaborations; curated material presentations and guided discussions, held boardroom sessions with architects and designers creating a focused environment to experience the product beyond samples and specifications.
Design Yatra, 2023
At Design Yatra, Goa, 2023 brought material learning through hands-on workshops for young designers and architects.
Participants worked directly with the process—mixing, layering, creating surfaces and finishes—to understand how surfaces are built.
AD Design Show, 2024
For ADDS 2024, with the over arching theme of art movements of Bauhaus, Art Deco, Brutalism and Japandi; the aim was to curate material led stories, that extend beyond the product.
By combining tactile samples and a material table, encouraged the audiences to touch, feel and explore textures, components, and finishes through the lens of context, culture and aesthetics.
AD Design Show, 2025
For ADDS 2025, I drew inspiration from nature’s own ground such as soil, sand, snow, pebbles, water and vegetation.
The intent was to translate material knowledge into tactile experiences, showing possibilities, constraints, and process through thoughtfully designed samples and direct interaction at the material table.
